I've been skimming every forum but seems some are outdated or not really answering my question.
Some background information first. I'm working with FL studio for a year now. Used to start of as a hobby, but I saw that with work and endurance you can really amazingly surprise yourself. But now I'm looking to go a little bit more professional, not to make money or anything. But because I f***ing LOVE making boom bap beats.
In my first days I noticed something was off, and now after a year and after installing dozens of plugins. I still can't seem to get the same feel like the tracks in for example Madlib's album 'shadez of blue', or MF Doom's 'operation doomsday'. Or any nineties underground east coast hip hop producer.
